Bull riding is an adventurous sports lover’s dream. This electrifying sport keeps delivering adrenaline rushes, thrills, and heart-pounding experiences. However, it provides heart-touching moments as well. As Professional Bull Riding (PBR) Unleash The Beast reaches Johnstown, rodeo enthusiasts got to witness one such moment.

As Eli Vastbinder took the competition on its head in Johnstown, the 32-year-old had a mission on the back of his mind. He unleashed his fury on the bucking bull, and soon after completing the ride, rocked a cowboy-themed celebration for his newborn son.

PBR’s Unleash The Beast event in Johnstown had Vastbinder geared up for a massive ride. He didn’t just want to win. The 2021 PBR Rookie of the Year wanted to mark the arrival of his newborn son with a grand celebration as well. Before he bid adieu to his son, Vastbinder posted a special message as well. “It’s been great spending time with the fam as we welcomed Dash Harris Vastbinder into the world! Ready to be back on the dirt tonight in Johnstown,” he wrote on his Instagram.

True to his promise, Vastbinder delivered an electrifying ride on the jumping bull. PBR posted a special shoutout for the Texas Rattlers’ member, honoring his ride on his son’s arrival. “That was for you, Dash! Eli Vastbinder rides for his newborn son at home”, PBR wrote. Although the 32-year-old wasn’t able to secure the top spot rank, he ensured to mark Dash’s arrival with a top 10 finish.

Vastbinder misses the top 5 narrowly

To make the Dash’s arrival memorable, Vastbinder rocked up an 86.50-point ride in the first round. However, it wasn’t enough for him to be in the top 10. Determined, with the newly born in the back of his mind, he continued his momentum in the second round when everyone else tired up. He delivered an 81-point ride to finish in the 6th position with an aggregate of 167.50.

While Vastbinder missed the 5th spot by a mere 2.25 points, his rival Cody Jesus secured the top spot owing to a 90.75-point first-round ride. The 2nd and 3rd positions were respectively taken by rodeo stars Austin Richardson and Boudreaux Campbell. Although Vastbinder may not have secured a top-5 finish, he fought hard to mark his son’s arrival.
