Upon the discharge of the metal chutes, Pam’s Dream hurried to the dirt. The stadium fell into eerie silence as Leme’s team meticulously timed his perfection on the bucking bull. The world champion didn’t show any hesitation about the moves from the bucking bull. As the seconds ticked by, Leme’s expert control of the beast remained unwavering.

As soon as Leme hit the 8-second mark, the hitherto hushed audience went crazy. Along with his trademark celebratory gesture, the cowboy got off the bull grandly. The judges loved the comeback ride by the world champion, granting him 86.50 points. Even though these points aren’t enough for the cowboy to make it to the final round, they were a great boost for him after his horrific injury.

An unfortunate PBR tour

The Brazilian cowboy had a fast start to 2023. Even the world title was briefly held by Jose Vitor Leme. But then rookie Rafael Jose de Brito stunned everyone in the championship round and took the PBR title away from Leme. Despite finishing in second place for the 2023 UTB season, the cowboy brought a lot of optimism to the PBR Team Series. He also didn’t disappoint, as he won the MVP of the tournament for the second consecutive time.

His 2024 UTB season got off to a great start. But after riding Buffalo Chip in the first round of the PBR St. Louis event, Leme noticed something uneasy. The cowboy had a major groin injury from Buffalo Chip’s instant bucking, but he didn’t think it was serious. The injury caused the cowboy to lose a significant amount of time competing in PBR competitions; he didn’t return until the Utah event. Despite all the action he has missed, the cowboy still has a shot at making a stunning comeback in the championship standings.
