Rodeo fans are having the time of their lives. The PBR team series is in full swing at Greensboro, NC. Day 2 of the Professional Bull Riding series witnessed some baffling turn of events. An unthinkable performance was delivered by a member of the Austin Gamblers Team.

Bull riding as a rodeo sport is packed with danger and thrill. One wrong move can land the rider in depths of despair and quite a lot of injuries. However, a Brazilian rider, Jose Vitor Leme, has shown how to ace professional bull riding, while simultaneously making history.

Jose Vitor Leme charts his name in the most 90-Point Rides in the PBR History

Jose Vitor is a name that is often heard in bull riding. The 27-year-old has been an avid rider since the mere age of 7. On day 2 of the 2023 PBR series, Leme rode a bull named Roc Wit It.

But it was not your average bull ride. The Brazilian rider made history, scoring his 76th 90-point ride. He has now surpassed the great J.B. Mauney, and now ranks second on the list. The video is shared on the official channel of PBR, which has more than 17,000 views.

As a member of the Austin Gamblers team, Jose has always given his best. Riding Roc Wit It, the two-time world champion, appeared calm and strategic right from the start. As it became clear that Vitor had made his mark, the crowd was seen hailing the young Brazilian. After the win, the 27-year-old proudly removed his helmet, showcasing his new hair color. But this is not the only achievement that Vitor has had in his professional career.

Jose’s Dominance in Bull Riding

Jose has athleticism in his blood. Before becoming a professional bull rider, he played soccer for 11 long years. As a semi-professional soccer player, Vitor was also learning karate. But as his career showed, it was bull riding that he loved the most.

The 2021 World Finals event champion started his rodeo journey as early as 7 years old when he used to ride calves. Over the years, he has proved his mettle. In the 2022 PBR U.S. team series, he was crowned the MVP of the year.

Jose has claimed his right to the world championship twice. First in 2020 and then in 2021. By the looks of it, he has tremendous potential to achieve more in his bull riding career. That being said, it sure is a proud moment for all the Austin Gamblers fans.
