The Carolina Cowboys PBR recently shared an exhilarating ride by Dawson Branton in a captivating Instagram reel. Branton achieved a career-high score of 91.25 points while riding Hunting Trip. Branton further elevated the excitement with an impressive performance, marking two of three remarkable rides to begin the championship round. With its exceptional lineup of bulls, the city of Tulsa brought an added dimension to the competition.

As riders strive for the coveted $1,000,000 bonus and the world title, it’s the opportunity to savor these moments that fuel their passion. With this phenomenal performance, Oklahoma now boasts a new leader in bull riding. The caption reads, “Dawson Branton made his presence known in the Championship Round at The Bok! A career-high 91.25-point ride on Hunting Trip helped him secure a 7th place finish in Tulsa!” The next rider after him added another layer to an already memorable evening, elevating the excitement and leaving an indelible mark on the bull-riding spectacle.

Unforgettable feats and records broken in bull riding

After Dawson set the stage, the spotlight shifted to world No. 1 Cassio Dias. He made history with a blazing start, conquering the two-time reigning YETI World Champion Bull, Ridin Solo, for an impressive 90.75 points. Following suit, newcomer Clay Guiton achieved a career-high of 90.25 points on Bandito Bug. He outshined his earlier 90-point score on Punchy Pete in Round 2. Dalton Kasel added to the excitement with a remarkable 91.5-point ride on UTZ BesTex Smokestack, securing his second 90 of the night.

The extraordinary performances continued, culminating in 18-year-old rookie John Crimber’s career-high 91.5-point ride. Additionally, 39-year-old Joao Ricardo Vieira achieved a triumphant 91.75-point ride on Flyin Wired, tying Kasel for the round win. This made history as the oldest rider ever to win a premier series event. The awe-inspiring rides drew accolades from two-time World Champion Justin McBride. He proclaimed it as one of the best championship rounds of the decade.
