John Crimber has made waves in the PBR circuit ever since he announced his debut in August last season. The 18-year-old who rose under the inspiration of his dad, Paulo Crimber, a 10X PBR World Finalist, has presented repeated excellence to stun the bull riding community. “The real great ones, you know before they even arrive and John Crimber now is kinda kicking everybody’s b*tt,” one of the PBR entertainers said and the youngster continues to abide by.

John Crimber made his Unleash the Beast debut in November at the Tucson showcase. Scoring an 89-point ride, the 18-year-old officially kicked off his premier series career. Today, months into the 2024 season, the bull-riding sensation has risen once again to make some noise of his own at UTB Sacramento.

It was a glistening night for PBR on Sunday as three of its events witnessed a ‘sold-out’ sign. In one of these venues, John Crimber was presenting his spectacle worthy of the ‘phenomenon’ tag he has carried. “So thankful for all these blessings the good lord has been giving me, ready to keep it rollin,” Crimber wrote, sharing his journey in UTB Sacramento. Through the 3-day event, the bull riding star posted 86.75, 88.25, and 89.75 to finish 2nd for the series’ 10th week.

It wasn’t a good start for John Crimber on the opening night of Sacramento, dealing a buck-off. However, on day 2, aboard Sky Walker, the 18-year-old posted 86.75 to earn 22 UTB points. With that, the youngster finished 8th and climbed to an overall no.15 in the standings. After Sunday’s showdown, Crimber has positioned himself on 4th with 331.33 on board. From debut to the top, the Teenage Phenomenon has come a long way.

A promising season debut for the youngster

On his debut in the Challenger Series last August, John Crimber landed a 3rd position marking a presence to look forward to. Six days later, he shared his first event title. In the continued process of excellence, the 18-year-old clinched 9 of the Challenger series event wins, which further secured a UTB debut spot. “It feels really good. I’ve proved to myself that I’m capable of doing some big things in this sport… It makes me feel really good about myself and I’m excited for what’s coming,” he told PBR.

Then on his debut day in Tuscon, John Crimber was bucked off 3.71 seconds into the ride. However, though upset dwelled in the youngster, he managed to put up an 89-point ride for round 2. Crimber exited the event, placing 11th and 9th in overall standings. Today, positioning ahead of some of the big names bull riding has to offer, Crimber is a strong favorite for Rookie of the Year.
