This month, the Professional Bull Riders Camping World Team Series journey reached the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. The bull riding event was held from September 15 to 17 and saw incredible rides from the cowboys. The spectators witnessed thrilling rides and tough competition from the participants to give their teams an edge in the game.

Before the beginning of the Thunder Days, Austin Gamblers dominated the overall standing with an impressive record of 13-3. The rest of the place had a close call with two games difference between the second and the sixth position holders. But, as the event unfolded, passionate riders emerged and scored epic rides when required. And the series once again went into the hands of last year’s winners.

Rattlers keep the bull riding event title at Ridgedale

The Texas Rattlers were in the fourth position in the overall ranking of the PBR teams series with 8-8. According to PBR, the Rattlers started their campaign of Thunder Days with a win. On Friday, they faced Nashville Stampede and won the event with 77 points in a 248.25–171.25 game with three qualified rides. On, Saturday, they matched with the hometown team  Missouri Thunder and lost the game with a considerable margin of  175.5 points in a 264.5–89 game with only one qualified ride. Despite the setback, Head Coach Cody Lambert’s team showed their perseverance and came back in their next game against Arizona Ridge Riders. Arizona Ridge Riders came to the game-winning their last six games and faced the tough Rattlers.

The Texas Rattlers won the game by 175.5 points to none with two qualified rides. Daniel Keeping showed up for the Rattlers and scored an epic ride. In Extra Outs, Arizona Ridge Riders sent Nick Tetz. He had a good start on the Rise but couldn’t long and was bucked off after 5.47 seconds. Next was Campos from Hometeam, but lasted only 2.83 seconds on Mike’s Motives.

Then came the third rider, Brady Fielder, for Texas Rattlers who scored a perfect ride on Lapua with 89 points. The last challenger at the extra outs was Carolina Cowboys’ Boudreaux Campbell. Campbell started a good ride on Bandito Bug but lasted only 6.47 seconds, giving the Texas Rattlers their second consecutive victory at Thunder Days after having won it last year. They have become the fourth team this year to win an event this year.

Daniel Keeping steps up for Rattlers at Thunder Days

Daniel Keeping is a talented young 24-year-old bull rider who has stood up for the team and performed when required at many events. In Rattler’s first game against Nashville Stampede, he came on the last crucial round and delivered a tremendous 87-point ride on Black Ice, giving his team a 77-point victory. He again delivered against Arizona Ridge helping his team score a crucial victory. The rider last year also scored an incredible walk-off last year at Ridgedale and helped the team claim the event.

The second consecutive win for the Texas Rattlers is an achievement and shows the talent and depth of the team can deliver in this crucial time. This win will give Cody Lambert’s team confidence for their future games.
