The persisting realms of PBR and PRCA have introduced a smorgasbord of rodeo excellence throughout their years of existence. While many hold one-of-a-kind recognition, none ring the name like Sage Kimzey in his undulating career presence. Backed by a bull-riding family involvement, Kimzey has grown to attain titles from Rookie of the Year to  7-time PRCA World Champion.

It was in 2013 that the 29-year-old first made his appearance in rodeo. Growing through his path, he has attained admiration not limited to fans but also inclusive of the bull riding community. As of 2023, the icon stands one step behind to equal the record of holding the most World Champion titles alongside Donny Gay; who is the bull rider Kimzey admires the most. Now, with the NFR season nearing, Sage Kimzey has news for the spectators.

Sage Kimzey unveils exciting plans

The NFR is often dubbed as the ‘Super Bowl’ of rodeo. Amongst the best of the rodeo champions, Sage Kimzey has locked horns to emerge successful for 6 consecutive years and then again in 2021 out of his 8 tries. To elevate his status higher than ever, after a roller coaster of a year, Kimzey will look to claim the title for the 8th time starting December 5th.“A night of memories I’ll cherish forever. Extremely grateful to begin my 9th @nfrvegas with the best home team,” Kimzey announced through his social media.

Through the next few months, the PRCA will host the NFR series to reach the finale across 60 stops. Kimzey, who suffered shoulder dislocation in 2022 and a broken clavicle in 2023, was forced to sit out the two seasons. Thus, the rodeo icon’s comeback for the awaited title in 2024 is nothing short of excitement for the fans in anticipation.

Fans lend support for the rodeo champion

When Sage Kimzey won his first title a year after his maiden appearance, the rodeo fraternity knew he was the one to keep their eyes peeled for. And in treading his path through, he put on glorious performances for a marvelling crowd. Following along the journey, a user wrote, “We can’t wait to watch you in your comeback season! What a sweet night with your beautiful wife and handsome baby boy! Blessings all around!” Another one showered praise writing, “Best one out there.”

The cheers racked up as a comment read, “Let the record breaking begin,” followed by “@sagekimzey for 8. You got this.” As applauds flowed in, one of the spectators also sent in affirmations on behalf of all. “Good luck! And stay safe. We will be there cheering you on!” The youngest millionaire in PRCA history only awaits to write a new history, a few months on the clock.
