In the world of rodeo, especially in bareback bronc riding, the American former professional cowboy Kaycee Feild has made a lasting impression. Regarded as a living legend in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), his remarkable career has been characterized by unheard-of achievement. Back in the day, Feild was the first cowboy to capture three straight bareback riding titles at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR).

The 36-year-old cowboy continues to maintain his legacy in the digital sphere by interacting with followers on social media. And recently shared a video that delved into the history of his early sponsorships, creating a nostalgic chapter.

Being the son of Lewis Feild, who was a three-time world all-around rodeo champion in the 1980s, Kaycee’s path to rodeo fame was etched in his DNA. Fast forward to now, Kaycee posted a new episode on his YouTube channel, titled ‘My 2023 NFR Experience.’ In this episode, he considers his long-lasting relationships with sponsors Polaris and Ariat.

His touching comment, “I got my first pair of ostrich quill boots my sophomore year and it was like kind of cool” captures his fond memory as sophomore in the Utah High School Rodeo Association. Feild’s rise to fame in the rodeo industry started early at 13 when he began training in bareback bronc riding. He had one clear objective: to become the world’s greatest bareback rider.

Despite having little opportunity to train, Feild was ahead of the time; he once said, “starting at that age made me want to do it more and crave it more. It made me put my mind to it instead of getting out there and just doing it.” A slew of awards mark Feild’s professional high point, while the first signs of his domination came in 2008, 2009, and 2010 when he qualified for the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). However, it was simply the beginning!

But when the PRCA modified its regulations, he was unable to compete in 2016, which was a momentary blow to his great career. Feild persevered and won $100,000 on RFD-TV’s ‘The American’ in 2018. His career came to a climax in the 2021 NFR, when he broke records to win his sixth PRCA bareback riding world title. He finally retired in November 2023, leaving a legacy behind.
