Bull Riding is an exciting game where a rider tries to stay aboard the bucking beast for eight seconds. This gives a sense of achievement and unimaginable happiness. But, there is a dark side of the game too and that is it is dangerous in the sense there is a high probability of getting a fatal injury or injury that renders you disabled for your whole life.
The bull riding community and enthusiasts were reminded of this brutal reality when one of the budding professionals of the game died while performing at an event. In a statement, the Professional Bull Riders informed about the loss of a young Brazilian Bull rider in a terrible wreck.
Young bull rider met the saddening fate

According to CBSNEWS, on Sunday, a 22-year-old Brazilian bull rider Amadeu Campos Silva was taking part in the Velocity Tour event at the Save Mart Center, Fresno. During the second round of the event on his turn, he started his ride on Classic Man but the bull bucked off the rider after a few seconds. Silva fell to the ground but during the fall his spur got hung up in the flank rope and he got dragged under the bull. The bull stomped his chest resulting in severe injury. He was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center where he scummed to his serve injury.
The Professional Bull Riders spokesperson Andrew Giangola said that the Bull Classic Man will be eligible to take part in the future event. He reasoned that “It clearly was not an act of aggression” and it was not the bull’s fault. He further said that the bull was bucking in the normal way as it does and it was the spur that hung up in the flank rope which resulted in the freaking accident. The PBR in its statement remembered the promising bull rider paid their respect.

The Professional Bull Riders paid their tribute to Amadeu Campos Silva through a statement given by their Commissioner Steve Gleason. In it, he said that their heart breaks for the deceased family and friends. He remembered Silva as a promising 22-year-old who arrived in the U.S. after competing in PBR events in Brazil in 2017 and 2018 to achieve his world championship dream.
After claiming second position in the Brazilian Finals, in 2019 he made his debut on the Velocity Tour in Edinburg, Texas, and later participated in the premier series in Manchester. His dream of competing in the world championship was realized in 2020 where he gave a formidable performance. The commissioner said, ” Amadeu was a rising star in our sport; a cowboy with so much potential on and off the dirt“. In the end, he extended condolence to his family on behalf of PBA and the Western sports family.

The death of a young bull rider is tragic and the PBR lost a promising talent. The event reminds us of the risk and unpredictability involved in bull riding sports besides its adrenaline excitement.
