The cowboy lifestyle came naturally to Ky Hamilton, a three-time National Finals bull rider. His enthusiasm for bull riding was ignited at the age of twelve while watching the Professional Bull Riding. He grew up in Australia, where his family was involved in rodeo activities only to join the original cult. Meanwhile, a well-known legend of bull riding decided to retire following a neck injury he had while competing.

Hamilton got together for an exciting ride with the retired bull-riding hero at a recent get-together with other rodeo boys. The seasoned veteran joined the frenzy to recognize Hamilton’s remarkable accomplishments from their meetup.

Celebrated bull rider with two PBR World Championships in 2013 and 2015, JB Mauney is still reluctant to leave the high-adrenaline world of rodeo after his injury. But this time, it was more about having a laid-back time with his friends. The 36-year-old often shares a number of fascinating stories on Instagram, where he actively interacts with his followers. A couple of those stories were from their trip to Bucktown Stephenville, Texas, which shows Ky Hamilton, a well-dressed cowboy, mounted on a bull. @bucktown_xv first posted the video on their Instagram account with the comment, “Tuesday Tune-up with @kyjohnhamilton,” and it was later reposted on Mauney.

Interestingly, under the action-packed video a comment read, “If you’re a JB fan, @kyjohnhamilton is your new go-to.” The pals gathered in the truck’s storage space in its back as Thanksgiving approached. Donnie Daytona, Cory Anderson, Dale Brisby, and Ty Rogers were also among them. The gang laughed as they joked about the location living up to the hype. One of them playfully asked, “Why is it named Bucktown? Due to the obstinate bugs” he humorously retorted.

Just last month, JB had a free week, and Ky asked to spend it with him, honing his skills as much as possible. Speaking about his time with him he said, ?Just hanging out with him and talking about bull riding and getting that confidence back on the practice bulls.? This change in outlook proved to be crucial as Hamilton staged an incredible comeback. In addition, he also won in Tuscon the same weekend as the San Antonio Finals.

In terms of his physical condition and victories, Ky Hamilton goes hand-in-hand. In March 2021 after his surgery, he won the Cheyenne Frontier Days. After suffering a setback at the Reno (Nevada) Xtreme Bulls event this year, he was forced to take a three-week break due to fractured bones in his back. But he rallied back and won the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho.

Although the journey was not all that direct, despite his remarkable No. 4 rating global rating last year, he struggled to earn any money at the beginning of the season. He continued to struggle in San Antonio, where he was unable to finish all four of his early bulls. Based on his World Ranking from the previous year, he was still able to make it to the Semifinals. Recognizing the potential significance of even tiny modifications, he took advantage of this chance and decided to try a new strategy. In the end, his season-long excellence earned him the No. 2 position, with $250,000 in purse value, and a fourth consecutive NFR victory on its way next month.
