With a strong performance, Ridin’ Solo made his 2024 debut in the Monster Energy Buck Off at The Garden in New York City. He defeated Chanse Switzer, a Canadian rookie, in Round 1 in just 2.67 seconds, earning a bull score of 44.75 points, reported PBR. Even though it wasn’t the best score of the competition, Solo’s consistency laid the groundwork for his possible third consecutive world win.
Solo aims to go down in PBR history among the three bulls that have accomplished this incredible feat—that being SweetPro’s Bruiser and Bushwacker, among other legendary bulls. Later head coach of the Florida Freedom and stock contractor, Cord McCoy said, “I was proud of him.” Despite the difficulties presented by strong rivals like Man Hater and Legend, McCoy stresses the need to remain concentrated on Solo’s advantages and position him tactically for the best chances.
Solo has already scored nine points this year, with the YETI World Champion Bull race taking into account a bull’s top outs from the 2023 PBR Teams season and the 2024 Unleash The Beast season. Further, the combination of McCoy’s dedication to Solo’s wellness and Solo’s track record of success sets them up for an interesting and unpredictable season.

Beyond Solo’s quest for an unprecedented third championship, McCoy considers the bull’s history and its future possibilities. Even though Solo is the star of the McCoy pen, McCoy is excited about young bulls like Solo’s progeny, First Infraction, who would grow into outstanding performers.
With his final statement, “Whatever Solo wants to do is what we’re doing,” McCoy is letting Solo choose the pace and prioritises his well-being. So, the short-term strategy for Solo is plausible.
