The Professional Bull Riders Unleash The Beast held its exciting tenth event of the season right in the heart of Sacramento, California. With the boisterous audience excitedly awaiting the declaration of a new champion, the PBR Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic concluded the second PBR Major of 2024.
While the erratic eight-second bull riding action took place, all eyes were on a rookie from Cassilandia, Brazil. He won both the $100,000 prize and his Career-First Unleash The Beast.

In the 2024 season’ Unleash the Long Live Cowboys Classic, Leonardo Castro Ferreira proved to be the undisputed star of the show, going 4-for-4 to win his first premier series title and a sizeable $119,950 payout. Ferreira and fellow rookie John Crimber engaged in a close match in the championship round with three rounds and agg. points of 87-58-86.5-87-318.50-220 against the second, Crimber’s 192 total reported everything-cowboy.com.
Kansas City Outlaws’ Ferreira had the tough challenge of beating Crimber’s previous qualifying ride record of 89.75 points. In addition, the champion showed off his riding skills with an impressive 87-point ride paired with the tough HomeBru. “I never stopped believing. This is the beginning of a long journey,” said 220 Unleash The Beast points winner Ferreira.
Besides adding a career-defining win to his portfolio, Ferreira’s performance catapulted him from No. 47 to an incredible No. 10 in the global rankings. Aside from the UTB rankings, the weekend saw the ascent of several top riders, including Callum Miller, John Crimber, Caden Bunch, and Boudreaux Campbell, all of whom demonstrated their skill in the arena. Additionally, the explosive atmosphere of PBR weekend in Sacramento transpired on other levels completely captivating audiences.

Dustin Herman won the CURT PBR North Charleston after putting up an incredible 3-for-3 performance in North Charleston. Meanwhile, in the PBR Red Deer Classic, Jake Gardner took the onus to add the thrill and global reach of the Professional Bull Riding circuit.
