Sage Kimzey had a difficult year in the rough world of bull riding. Even though Kimzey was a seven-time World Champion, injuries plagued him throughout the 2023 season, threatening to ruin what could have been an incredible season. But in the middle of the storms, the bull riding phenomenon received support from Alexis, his wife, and their young son Steele.

Never the one to shy away from being candid about sharing his journey, the man returned to the grounds, making his ninth NFR appearance. Ending this year on a sweet note, the rodeo sensation shared a thoughtful note for his wife.

Kimzey and his wife often turn heads with their touching notes capturing the depth of their relationship. This time Kimzey has a special reason to post a gorgeously edited photo of the couple in a mid-kiss moment as he held her chin gently. He captioned it, “Happiest of birthdays to one of the the sweetest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around. @alexisbloomertv you are incredible. My rock, my soulmate, my lil A. I love you.”

However, not long ago Alexis confirmed that the couple had not yet had a blowout, but she alluded to possible changes due to the approaching arrival of their next child. Digging deeper into their relationship as parents, Kimzey disclosed a rule set by his wife: changing at least one diaper every day. And she gives me the worst one every time he added, showing what their relationship truly looks like on a normal day.

Sage also celebrated his victorious triumph at the NFR with an amazing 92-point performance, and shared his happiness on Instagram. Steele, Kimzey’s son, and his wife took center stage in the engrossing video, revealing the motivation behind the family man’s success.

A recurring theme in his bull riding journey has been the unshakable support mainly though lows. However, there was much more to Kimzey’s year than the mere lows.
