As the 2023 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo presented by Teton Ridge Round 10 took place on December 16, it acknowledged the absence and celebrated the bewitching career of JB Mauney. The video highlights, “His talent and love for rodeo made him a champion; his grit, determination, and heart made him our hero.” Shared by @sharpreaction on Instagram, it recounts the exceptional PBR footage as Mauney had put up 94 points on Percolator during the championship round. It took place in Las Vegas during the 2014 PBR BFTS World Finals.
JB Mauney has been called the Tom Brady of bull riding, for his incredible bullriding skills. The caption reads, “Too much PBR footage they said…Here’s the original, pre-shortsightedness. Mauney’s Health Update
Bull riding is ridden with the possibility of unforeseen injuries. And, JB Mauney was a recent victim of it. This September during Lewiston Roundup, Mauney met with a brutal accident. Landing on his head, the neck injuries definitely worried the fans. Bullfighter Cody Webster had stepped in with the save as the incident took place.

Despite the number of spine-chilling accidents Mauney has faced, there’s one thing that he has to say, which he reiterates every time, i.e., “I never broke my heart.” It comes as a reassurance to his fans who always look up to him.
