The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo (FWSSR) has found itself embroiled in controversy following an alarming incident involving the child of professional bull riding icon Cody Teel. His post detailed a disturbing incident from an unexpected incident that occurred very recently.

Alexis Kimzey shared Teel’s post on her Instagram story, echoing the sentiments of Cody Teel and his unsettling experience involving his daughter at the FWSSR. The issue came to light after Cody Teel took to Instagram to express his outrage over the incident.

Sage Kimzey’s wife expressed her outrage over FWSSR’s negligence

In a show of solidarity, Alexis Kimzey, wife of fellow rodeo star Sage Kimzey, echoed Teel’s sentiments on her Instagram story. She labeled the incident “disgusting” and emphasized that the safety of children should be non-negotiable. She added, “You can mess with many things, but NOT OUR CHILDREN. Time to be held accountable.” According to Teel, the situation unfolded on Friday, February 2nd, during the FWSSR event. Teel stated that he was in the hospitality area with both of his children when an older child held Annie. Suddenly, a woman purportedly approached, claiming she would take Annie away. Despite Teel being in the same room, the woman allegedly took Annie without his explicit permission.

Teel’s wife, Kaitlin Teel, corroborated the events, expressing concern and frustration over the incident. Teel recounted how they confronted FWSSR staff immediately after learning of the situation, demanding answers and accountability. As parents, they expressed disappointment over the lack of transparency and urgency in addressing the incident. Cody Teel emphasized the need for clarity on the intentions behind his daughter’s abduction and the subsequent actions of FWSSR personnel. However, Cody Teel has proved that he has shined not only as a Rodeo star in his illustrious career but also as a father.
