The weekly PBR stockyard showcase at the Cowtown Coliseum took over the bull riding calendar on the 18th Jan evening with a spectacle. As some of the celebrated names in the industry made their way for a showdown, it was a very specific group that bagged the top 3 spots. Grit, passion, and anticipation all led to Ariat International having its carefully picked athletes stand worthy of the choice.

The PBR stockyard showcase features some of the world’s best bull riders locking horns against each other every Thursday. The series, further along, offers a wider ground for athletes to shine through and etch a presence. With new riders taking home the win each week, it was Ariat athletes’ time under the spotlight on the 18th of January.

Bull riding showcase fetches joint champions

John Crimber, Daniel Keeping, Lucas Divino, and more bull-riding stars were up against each other at Thursday’s PBR showcase. However, shining brighter by the end of the evening were the former two alongside Ezekiel Mitchell, all of whom are represented by Ariat International. “All three @ariatinternational athletes placed first, second, and third place. Tied for first was @johncrimber1 and @danielkeeping_99, @thebluemitchell in 2nd. The boys are hungry! LFG,” PBR Bunk House wrote on Instagram, sharing a clip of the winners’ moment.

The joint champions, John Crimber, and Texas Rattlers’ Daniel Keeping, scored an aggregate of 173 to clinch the title. While the 18-year-old put up an 86 and an 87, Keeping scored a pair of 86.5. “Blessed,” the two bull riding stars wrote over their wins. However, while Round 2 awaits the riders for an ultimatum on Saturday, it is nonetheless a testament to consistency.

From their rookie days

Daniel Keeping has been a known name in the bull riding industry for the past two years. PBR calls the champion ‘one of the biggest surprises of the 2022 Team series. Keeping had provided a perfect 5-for-5 for the team to end the regular season well. Known to perform well under pressure, Keeping not only earned the closer position in the team but also contended for Rookie of the Year in 2023. Though the title was not his by the end of the race, Keeping still had a glorious year to reminisce.

As for John Crimber, the 18-year-old made his debut back in August 2023. Since then, the phenomenon has only continued to turn heads. The youngster placed third in his first ever PBR stockyard showcase. A few weeks later, he was the only rider to go 2-on-2 and be crowned the event champion. After that, Crimber went on to add 9 more titles to his name and make his presence known.
