The premiere series of the PBR, the Unleash the Beast is ready to ‘Buck Off’ in 2024. It’s the last month of 2023, and looking back at the UTB achievements, they’ve been nothing short of path-breaking. Combining excitement, thrill, and danger, the electrifying sport of bull riding attracts people of all age groups. Speaking of one of the most exciting live sporting events, it’s ready for its first tour stop.
Since the foundation of the PBR organization, the world has witnessed several rodeo athletes. And now, with 35 bull riding athletes on the list, PBR is returning to the most populous city in the United States.

PBR Brazil has resorted to their Instagram handle to post, “Get ready for the Show of the Year!” The caption further reads, “From January 5th to January 7th, the magic happens in the heart of Manhattan. The legendary Madison Square Garden lights up again for the World Bull Riding Championships!” For the 17th time since its inception, New York City is hosting UTB’s first stop of the tour.

Named as PBR Monster Energy Buck Off, The Garden will have a star-studded line-up of bull riding athletes. As participants at one of the three Majors scheduled for the 2024 season, the riders will stand a chance to bag a share of the $250,000. It’ll be a show of the era as the man vs beast includes the fine bovine athletes and the rankest riders.
The Ariat-presented event will provide the competitors an opportunity to collect points to utilize at the 2024 PBR World Champion leg. “The World’s Most Famous Arena” had the Brazilian professional rodeo cowboy standing with the glory in January 2023. And his win deserves nothing but accolades.

José Vitor Leme crowned with The Garden win
In January 2023, a trip to “The Big Apple” was fruitful for the legend José Vitor Leme. With 98.75 points, he stands atop with the highest-record ride aboard the bull Woopaa, a retired bucking bull. The PBR Team Series Regular-Season MVP title winner of 2022 and 2023 has had a phenomenal season debut this year. He had undoubtedly delivered the high-marked ride while going for 3 and 4.

After moving past worthy rivals, the former Brazilian soccer athlete cemented his win with 185.5 UTB points. Not only that, he also propelled his position to Number 10 in the WC race. But in the end, he missed his record-tying third World Championship by a fraction, thus remaining at number 2 in the world ranking. In the 2024 season, no one is looking as strong as the 2023 NYC title holder.
