Bull riding is a deadly and unpredictable sport where a tragedy can occur at any second. And the latter, is exactly what a cowboy named Hue Mills experienced in Warwick in Queensland, Australia. Mills was flung off the bull he was riding, and then trampled by the same. A report by The Sun shared all details of the horrific incident.This incident took place when Mills was participating in the New Year’s Eve rodeo on 31st December 2022, which was organized by the Rodeo society. The cowboy had made a journey from Atholwood in New South Wales to compete in the contest.

After the shocking incident, the National Rodeo Association’s chairman, Jason Hall, gave a public statement about the incident. So what happened with the cowboy in the arena that caused the National Rodeo Association to take notice?

According to The Sun’s report, the bull trampled Hue using its hind legs a few minutes after he entered the arena. This was witnessed by thousands of rodeo fans. Post this incident, Mills was rushed off to Warwick hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The 25-year-old is survived by his wife and his young son.

After this incident, a fan who witnessed the incident told how Hue’s tragedy “broke their heart watching.” Surprisingly, this tragedy took place despite Hue taking every precaution, such as wearing a helmet and protective covering.

Later, the National Rodeo Association gave their condolences and their chairman spoke about the incident to The Courier Mail. Hall narrated, “The competitor came off about halfway into the ride, the bull’s legs came down on his back.” Calling the incident unfortunate, Hall implied how there was always a possibility of such dangerous incidents happening in bull riding. This was not the only time a rider has been thrown off by a bull at a contest. Iconic rider JB Mauney was recently flung off by the bull he was riding, in a shocking turn of events.

JB Mauney’s sad plight caused concern among thousands of rodeo fans

This incident took place on Sunday, 21st March 2023, when Mauney was contesting in the Rodeo Houston Championships. Riding on the bull he had ridden in the past, Mauney encouraged the bull to do well to win the contest. However, the bull shook Mauney off its back, resulting in Mauney crashing into a metal chute. Thousands of

fans reacted to this terrible ordeal, praying for Mauney’s recovery.
