Legend J.B. Mauney had bull riding excellence for almost twenty years and he announced his retirement through Instagram in October, after this long period during which he achieved greatly. At age 36, he retired from professional bull riding following an incident in a PRCA?s Xtreme Bulls event that required spine surgery.

Mauney acquired the ?Dragon Slayer? nickname for taking down even the strongest of bulls. He received admiration among his fans for that and topped the world?s most all-time event wins list. He is still regarded with respect even after retirement, and he has set a benchmark for his competitors in bull riding. His cowboy roots are dear to him as he concentrates more on his family now. Recently, he has been in the news again following a dazzling, eye grabbing photo shoot and he has wowed everyone by looking his uber-suave best.

Mauney was portrayed as very handsome, with a cigar hanging precariously in his mouth and donning a black cowboy hat seated on the driving seat of a car. He was dressed in a checked blazer, blue basics, and brown cowboy trends. But the only intriguing thing was the comment of JB Mauney ?Thanks buddy, it was fun,? Despite his recent injury he still looked like the legend that he was, inspiring millions to pursue the perilous sport of rodeo.

End of an era

Mauney, a two-time PBR World Champion, had climaxed his achievements in the industry by being crowned Rookie of the Year (2006), double Challenger Tour Champion (2006 and 2009) as well as winning World Championship titles in 2013 and 2015. Riding the great bull that pushed him to his champion rodeo legend, injured JB Mauney retires at 36 with a broken neck. The two-time world rodeo champion, who has made a name for himself as one of the outstanding bull riders of his time, had an awful accident during the PRCA Pro Rodeo in Lewiston.

I underwent surgery at St. Joseph Regional Medical on my neck, which required a rod/plates/screws and disc removal. The surgery went well,” Mauney explained on his social media. Regrettably, this marks the last injury of his decorated career and the living phenom can rest away, with all his problematic troubles incurring during his stint behind him.
