After witnessing a thrilling bull riding season in 2023, Professional Bull Riding (PBR) is promising to deliver an even more exciting season in 2024. Be it the ever-exhilarating Unleash the Beast or the fan-favorite Pendleton Whisky Velocity tour, there are a multitude of events lined up. With only a few days in 2024, the rodeo community has already witnessed scintillating action in the last week.

The 2024 PBR Velocity Tour kicked off on January 4th in New York and later mesmerized the crowd in Portland. With a world-class lineup in wings, the latest stop at Denver, CO promises breathtaking action.

In the latest Twitter update, PBR announced the schedule and venue for the next stop of the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour. Using the iconic words of American singer and songwriter Cody Johnson, PBR wrote, In the words of Cody Johnson, “It’s About To Get Western!” @PendletonWhisky Velocity Tour National Western Stock Show January 8-10 9 PM ET on PBR RidePass on @PlutoTV“. As the showdown heads to the Western Stock Show in a few hours, the event is promising to be an exciting one as top bull riders from across the globe headline the show.

Section 1 will be headlined by John Crimber and Jake Gardner while champion rookie Caden Bunch and Bruno Carvalho will be the standouts in Section 2. Ezekiel Mitchell will lead the way in Section 3 with Tyler Manor the favorite in Section. The renowned rodeo Eli Vastbinder will look to continue his dominance in Section 5 followed by Jake Morinec in Section 6. Although only 2 events have been completed yet, they were enough to make bull-riding enthusiasts glue their eyes to the screen for the 3rd show of the year.

Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour 2024 recap

The first event of the Velocity Tour braced Lexington, New York on January 5 and 6 as Clay Guiton made eyes turn. He was way above the rest, racking an Aggregate score of 257.00, and finished as the top performer. The 2nd and 3rd places saw an enthralling contest between Marco Rizzo and Leandro Machado with the duo racking an aggregate of 173.00 and 171.50 scores respectively.

Continuing the action, PBR touched down in Portland on January 6. Dawson Branton is leading the charts for now with an aggregate score of 173.50 while Leonardo Ferreira is placed 2nd with 167.00 points. As the action unfolds on the Western Stock Show dirt, rodeo enthusiasts will hopefully witness many more enthralling bucking bull rides.
