It was the night to choose the side and Jonathan Owens, the Chicago Bears’ safety, did his part. He cheered for the phenom, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, who was on his way to defend his WBA title in Las Vegas. However, the fight remained tough as Tank was up against Frank ‘The Ghost’ Martin. But as the night deepened in Las Vegas, Gervonta extended the boxing game to the eighth round. By then, he had already achieved the upper arm over “The Ghost”. Sniffing the upcoming result, Jonathan Owens put a loud cheer for his favorite boxer while enjoying the match on television far away in Chicago.

In making the war cry frightening enough, the NFL athlete penned a fierce message on his IG story that said, “Put that boy to sleep”. At that moment, Gervonta Davis was making his last punch ready. Eventually, after the 8th round, he KO’ed Frank Martin to defend his title.

Frankly, the brutal punch inflicted from Gervonta’s left hand did the damage to Frank Martin. In the past, the same left punch had done the job for the vicious boxer. That time, opponent Ryan Garcia had no answer to thwart the hammer. 14 months later, Frank Martin’s grounding after facing the blow has proved Tank’s superiority once again. Nonetheless, Jonathan Owens remained a witness to such a classic return. In fact, his wish was turned into reality after just 4 minutes he had made it. In hindsight, that entire fandom left the full-notched reign established for the 29-year-old pound-for-pound boxer.

However, Jonathan Owens’ mood over the boxing match introduces his utmost fanfare for the hand-to-hand sport. In the past, the fresh recruit safety had been appearing in basketball matches alongside his wife Simone Biles. The proud wife fairly practices her support of the ball game while worshiping the majestic point guard Steph Curry. This year, she took Jonathan Owens in an NBA match where Steph Curry was present, not with the devilish aura like Gervonta Davis, but with his own artistry with the synthetic ball.

Jonathan Owens feels engulfed by the sporting environment

In their off-season relaxation, Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles enjoyed their time traveling in nooks and corners of Houston, the town with many of their memories. Furthermore, this love for the town has led Simone to cheer for the local basketball team Houston Rockets in their matches. But the luminary gymnast goes off-footed from her support only when Steph Curry lights up the basketball arena. Therefore, when Curry-starred Golden Gate Warriors appeared against the Rockets to extend their record run this year, Simone shifted her support to the Warriors.

JO did not remain mum in the stand as he soon found the Warriors’ point guard being the difference between the two squads. That defiant run ultimately converted into the visiting team’s 6th victory in the league. Apart from enjoying the game together, the couple celebrated their relationship on the stand by clicking pictures together. Additionally, they kept the whole stand witness to their presence as the giant screen showed them up, sitting side by side and holding hands. Thus, the experience of both of them touched on the point of being memorable. However, this time, Jonathan Owens had to enjoy the boxing match alone. Yet, soon he can be expected to appear in another sport as Simone Biles is going to feature in the US Olympic gymnastics trial in Minneapolis.
