Arnold Schwarzenegger has a history of going against the odds and proving his decisions right. From the beginning of his career, he has pursued ambitious goals for which people used to warn him. Moreover, he used to take it as a challenge and conquer what he started.

When people in Austria denied him to pursue his career in bodybuilding, he proved them wrong. When people told them he couldn’t be successful, he again proved them wrong. And when people told him he can’t become a Hollywood star, we know what happened there. Schwarzenegger once shared one of his anecdotes when people tried to hold him back with a mediocre mentality.

Schwarzenegger ignored everyone who didn’t agree with his vision

People always tried to pull back Arnold Schwarzenegger. Although people didn’t have any bad intentions behind pulling him back, but they just didn’t see anything happening in the reality that Arnold dreamt of. But Arnold didn’t just say things. He had a vision, and he meant to commit himself to it.

That’s how a boy from Austria made a massive success in the world that nobody ever saw coming. In an interview with Tim Ferriss in 2015, he revealed how his manager and agent predicted he won’t be a successful Hollywood star because of his muscular build.

Arnold said“That’s also what agents said and managers. ‘I doubt you’re going to be successful in that because today’s idols, I mean this is not the 70’s Arnold. Today’s idols are Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Woody Allen, all little guys. Those are the s*x symbols. Those are the hot stars. Look at you. You weigh 250 lbs. or something like that. That time is over.’ But I felt very strongly and had a very clear vision that the time would come that someone would appreciate that.”

The blockbuster career of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger began his cinematic journey in 1970. He made his debut in a movie called “Hercules in New York”. Later he worked in a 1976 movie, ‘Stay Hungry’ for which he won Golden Globe Award for “Best Acting Debut in a Motion Picture”. However, he became a global star in the year 1984, when he played a role in an action movie, ‘The Terminator’.

There was no looking back for the Austrian Oak. He kept acting and became one of the best action stars on the globe. Other than that, he also acted in comedy movies like ‘Twins’, which was a huge success in 1988. Arnold Schwarzenegger has successfully spent more than 50 years in Hollywood with tremendously entertaining movies for the audience.
