Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of the iconic X-Men character Wolverine has become legendary. But what many people may not realize is the dedication that Jackman put into achieving that impressive physique. To maintain his muscular build, he adheres to a strict diet that includes a whopping 8000 calories per day. While these numbers sound unreal for a living man, a famous bodybuilder, Hudson White tried to consume this extraordinary amount of food. However, the result of the experiment didn’t turn out too well for him.

The popular YouTuber, and bodybuilder, recently made headlines after attempting to follow actor Hugh Jackman’s 8000-calorie diet for one day. The experiment left White feeling hammered and struggling to consume the massive amount of food required to fuel such an intense diet.

Hugh Jackman is again in the limelight as his iconic character is about to make a comeback in Deadpool 3. For his role, the Hollywood superstar is putting a special emphasis on his diet which consists of several large meals, including protein shakes, oatmeal, chicken, steak, and other high-calorie foods.

White, who is also known for his dedication to fitness and bodybuilding, decided to try out Jackman’s diet for himself in a YouTube video that quickly went viral. However, he soon realized just how difficult it would be to consume such a massive amount of food in one day. Throughout the video, we can see White struggling to finish each meal, often feeling bloated and nauseous.

As he inches towards his last meal, viewers could see him lying down on his couch hammered. The bodybuilder had to take breaks in between meals to recover. Despite the difficulty, White managed to complete the challenge, consuming all 8000 calories in one day, thanks to his wife’s support on the last meal. “There was no way in hell I could eat all those 8000 calories”, he admitted. Despite completing the challenge, albeit with some help, the bodybuilder questioned the legitimacy of the diet plan.

However, he notes that this type of diet is not made for a human and is only for a superhero. He gave full credit to Jackman for consuming an entire load of calories in one day. White also applauded his resilience to keep continuing that throughout the last decade. “If you truly are eating this much food, every single day, you deserve that role,” White said. However, this wasn’t the first time Jackman’s diet came under the eye of the bodybuilding community.

Popular coach Maik Wiedenbach recently called Jackman’s diet absolutely bullshit. He highlighted that it’s practically impossible for someone to consume such an extensive amount of calories. He even gave examples of comparatively large-sized superstars who eat relatively less amount of calories than The Wolverine. The video sparked a lot of discussion among the fitness and bodybuilding community, with many people questioning the practicality and safety of such an extreme diet.
