How much protein is enough for bodybuilding? Well, you cannot avoid protein if you wish to see muscles in your body. Expert Jerry Brainum had an eye-opening take on protein consumption in his interview with Escape Fitness a month ago.

The nutrition consultant stated that there lies massive confusion among people about protein intake. According to Jerry, if the meal in one sitting fulfills the protein requirement, then there is no need to consume supplements or amino acids. He further explained about the protein intake: “I believe this for years myself that you could only absorb 30 grams of protein a meal there’s no limit to how much protein you there is no limit you could absorb any amount of protein. But the limit is on how much will be used for muscle protein synthesis. Okay, that’s where the confusion has.”

Moreover, Jerry also threw light on the extra protein consumption. The excessive protein consumed by the body does not go to waste. It helps to improve the bloodline, hair, skin, and nails.

The biggest nightmare of bodybuilders is muscle loss. They avoid exercises and food that eliminate muscle growth in the body. Jerry Brainum had a simple solution for it. According to him, bodybuilders must take amino acids an hour before training. This will let the body burn the acids while training without hampering the muscles.

Furthermore, he also advised that amino acids are available in several supplement forms like tablets or powder. Moreover, one can also consume the acids by eating a regular whole protein. The scientific rule for consuming protein for muscle growth is taking 2.2 grams of protein per pound of body weight.
