Canadian pro Iain Valliere often enlightens his fans with insights sourcing from his expertise as an athlete and a fitness coach. He hosts routine Q&As on his Instagram that numerous followers look forward to. This Sunday’s session presented an interesting question. It was about the need for Testosterone Replacement Therapy in men with respect to declining age.
Valliere responded to the query with a perceptive remark. He revealed that it’s a natural phenomenon and tampering with hormonal compositions might not be pleasant. Despite its growing popularity in today’s generation, the athlete firmly stated his stance.

In a recent Instagram story, the five-time Pro Show winner promptly denied conforming to the question asking, “Do you think most men need TRT as they age?” He claimed that it’s an ongoing trend to administer doses of hormones and resist something as natural as aging. Thus, Valliere disclosed, “No, there’s this fad right now with TRT, but people don’t realize hormonal decline is a natural process and happens for a reason.”
Furthermore, the bodybuilder’s viewpoint on the matter was substantiated with a brief yet interesting comment. “You aren’t supposed to feel 25 at 65,” he voiced. Embarking on his powerlifting career in 2010, it is evident that the 32-year-old icon’s beliefs do not align with those of recent times. However, TRT usage is a debatable topic, and Valliere’s conjectures are worth pointing out.
Several bodybuilding icons are opposed to the unrestricted usage of steroids. Although, bodybuilding beast Jay Cutler seems to be an exception. In his podcast, Cutler Cast, he once frankly admitted to using steroids to maintain his physique.

The four-time Mr. Olympia openly spoke on his testosterone dosage in one of his podcasts. In lieu of his Fit for 50 challenge, the athlete doesn’t shy away from using steroids to preserve his brawny frame. “I’m on 200 [of TRT]. 200 Cypionate a week,” he disclosed. Moreover, he didn’t feel the need to make it confidential and said to his guest, Milos Sarcev, “I have no reason to lie. I have no reason to lie. I’m surprised you would second-guess me.”
