Bodybuilding icon Arnold Schwarzenegger never quantified his meals calories for calorie in his prime. And four-time Arnold Classic champion Flex Wheeler couldn’t agree more with the Austrian’s logic. Schwarzenegger reasoned that he swapped meals for vegetable soups or had late meals to lose weight. However, Wheeler had a completely different perspective that opened the channel to deliberate on the pressing issues that contemporary bodybuilders face.

The bodybuilding veteran described how myths surrounding fitness can put people at risk. Talking about how diligently fitness enthusiasts count macros and micros, Wheeler explained that quantifying diets alone is not enough to ensure fitness.

Wheeler implied gym goers have a misplaced sense of focus. Annoyed at the habit of counting macros and micros, writing down every set, and weighing every meal, Wheeler said, “I think so many of you are cerebral.” 

Continuing, he advised, “Don’t be one of those who sit there and weigh out each meal, counting your macros and micros. Especially, if you’re not competing on a high level.” 

Later, the Sultan of Symmetry emphasised the importance of creating a healthy lifestyle that is going aid the fitness process for the long haul without getting tempted to take short cuts.

Wheeler had a formulaic secret for his fans, “Get off your assets. Work hard. Be consistent.” Wheeler also recommended to fans to stop checking their weight each day and staring in the mirror to make out if they look healthier than before.

Squats form the foundation for all workout programs. He  also shared how squats have many benefits like “body awareness, full-body strength/power, balance, stability.”

Acknowledging as his personal favorite, he encouraged fans to try out various variations of squats. Split squats, hack squats, sumo squats, single leg squats, barbell front and back squats, and dumbell squats are some variants fitness enthusiasts can attempt.
