Land of dreams, the United States of America finds people from all over the globe arriving at its shores. Several go on to find their own niche, building a future, that leaves a legacy for more to come. Arnold Schwarzenegger, was a 21-year-old bodybuilding champion when he first set foot on American soil in 1968. Today, he is the embodiment of ‘The American Dream.’
In a 2013 interview with Google Play, the Terminator star shared his unflinching view of what it means to be in America and echoed the passion and determination with which he came to the States.

Dreams do come true in America
The Hollywood action icon highlighted the essential qualities to achieve one’s goals, particularly addressing Americans. He emphasizes, that having a clear vision and willingness to work towards it, regardless of any circumstances, means “we can accomplish basically anything you want.” Simply because “you are in the best place in the world.”
Furthermore, explaining his claim, he said, “America is a place that does not hold you back. It gives you all the opportunities in the world.” To the unconvinced, he defended, “I’ve seen that firsthand.” He gave his most notable credit to the country, saying, “None of the things that I’ve accomplished ..I would have been able to do if it wouldn’t be for America.”
On the other hand, he pointed out the other side of the coin. One may not like everything about America – politics or policy paralysis in Washington or the leaders governing the country. Still, the former governor of California reiterated America’s dominance as the best place in the world.
Arnold Schwarzenegger gave no excuses
The Hollywood action icon began his arduous journey with one rep at a time. Speaking about reps that shaped his bodybuilding career, the 7 x Mr. Olympia said, “..everything in life, it’s all about reps. The more you practice something, the better you get.” Moreover, the Austrian Oak encouraged his children to follow the same principles of hard work and practice.

While there is a spirit of hard work, several people complain about lack of time to work towards their goals. firmly believes that apart from the 6 hours set aside for sleep, one could utilize 18 hours well. “That’s the only way you can get ahead,” he continued.
