Aleesha Young has established herself as a top female professional bodybuilder in the latter half of the 2010s. In 1984, Aleesha was born to a family of athletes. Her father competed in bodybuilding, while her siblings played sports like ice hockey. Aleesha also played various sports like soccer, basketball, and softball before getting into bodybuilding, when she was around 15.

Aleesha competed regularly after winning her pro card in 2014. On stage, the Salt lake City native’s muscularity and conditioning make her a standout competitor. Fans have also nicknamed her the “World’s strongest mom” because of her insane measurements.
Bodybuilding and motherhood – a challenging combination
Aleesha won her pro card after winning the NPC USA Championships in 2014. However, she began competing in 2008. In 2014 she also competed in the IFBB Wings of Strength PBW Tampa Pro and was placed 9th. She held on to a 9th-place finish in 2015. In 2015 and 2016, Aleesha came in at 6th in the IFBB Wings Of Strength Rising Phoenix World Championships.
After steadily improving, Aleesha won her first pro show in 2019, when she won the Chicago Pro Championships. The bodybuilder’s best performance at the WOS Rising Phoenix came in 2020 when she held the 4th place. However, the “World’s strongest mom” took a break from bodybuilding for health-related reasons.

Aleesha prioritized her health because she was a single mother and her daughter Olivia depended on her. “I knew that being a mom was a number one priority for me,” Young once told ‘In The Know.’ Aleesha is also willing to put aside time for Olivia, even if it means taking some time off her strict training and diet.
Young competes at around 190 lbs and has 18-inch biceps. At 28 inches, her quads are also massive. Earlier Young appeared on the ‘Fit Rock Star’ podcast on the ‘Wings of Strength’ channel. During the conversation, Aleesha revealed she quickly puts on muscle. However, her goal is to keep the muscle mass and improve her conditioning.
Aleesha hasn’t abandoned her dream
During the same podcast, Aleesha also revealed when she began having health issues. “I got about four weeks out, and just got extremely, extremely, sick.” Aleesha told the host, Isabella Turell. After some convincing, Aleesha skipped the 2021 competitive bodybuilding season. However, she is back in the gym and has plans for the future.

While she hasn’t announced anything, Aleesha dreams of competing on the Olympia stage, and hopefully win it. She also recently released her clothing line, which sports her catchphrase, “Size matters,”
