World’s strongest man Hafthor Bjornsson has always maintained a rugged look with his brown and bushy beard. Fans have loved the beardy Hafthor in powerlifting championships and as The Mountain in the hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones (GOT). Imagining him in a non-beardy look could be a tricky task for fans. However, recently fans received the shock of their lives seeing Hafthor in a new look. 

In a recent Instagram post, the former strongman did the unthinkable by pulling off a no-beard avatar. Although it was quite a shocker for fans, they also had multiple hilarious reactions to Hafthor.

Undoubtedly, Haftor’s beardy look suited him perfectly with a 6-ft 9-in height and a bulky body. However, going for a change should not be a bad idea. Recently, the strongman dared to pull off a no-beard look that invited several reactions from fans. In the video, Hafthor puts a disclaimer for her fans stating; “Me with beard vs me without beard and some makeup on”.

Looking at his non-beard look, Hafthor’s admirers filled the comment section with hilarious reactions. Take a look. One appreciated the charm of Bjornsson, and said, “All hail The Mountain!!!” Another advised him to use more tan to look great, “Just need a tan in the second picture and you’d look great👏🏼”

Another hilarious comment suggested Hafthor apply moisturizer in his non-beardy makeup look, “Face looks a little dry on that second shot. Might want to use some moisturizer bud. I’d say that face is…as dry as a mountain. Bahahahahahah, I crack myself up!”

Indeed, Hafthor aces in everything he does irrespective of how he looks. From powerlifting to boxing he has been marvelous.

A look at Hafthor’s career timeline

Being a successful powerlifter, Hafthor ditched the idea of sticking to just one career option. Before entering his strongman career, he played basketball. However, due to his ankle injury, he eventually developed an interest in strongman in 2006. Soon he became the only person to have won the Arnold Strongman Classic, Europe’s Strongest Man, and the World’s Strongest Man competitions in the same calendar year in 2018.

While he pursued his strongman career, he also got opportunities to act in series like GOT in 2013. In 2020, Hafthor challenged his rival, Eddie Hall to a boxing match. For the next two years, he trained only in boxing. By the end of 2022, he switched to strongman and is now planning to make a professional comeback in 2024.
