In a recent interview with The New York Times, Katherine sat down to talk about life, her books, and her husband.

While she reflected on her relationship with fame, she revealed her take on politics and whether she would consider getting involved in any way. Let’s take a look at what Katherine had to say.

Katherine Schwarzenegger ponders upon the possibility of Chris Pratt’s political debut

Being the granddaughter of the Kennedys and the daughter of the former Governor of California, Katherine Schwarzenegger recognizes the workings of politics. She watched her parents immerse themselves in serving the citizens of California. Later, even when Arnold’s term came to an end, the paparazzi would still swarm around the family. This led Katherine to generally stray away from involving herself in political activities.

Later, when the eldest Schwarzenegger sibling married Hollywood star Chris Pratt, the star maintained her stance. And while the question kept popping up, she never wished to involve herself in politics. Katherine even went on to state that while she respected those involved in politics, it wasn’t for her.

During the interview, Katherine faced a pressing question – what if Chris Pratt wished to run for office? The author had an interesting response for the interviewer. While she wouldn’t prefer venturing into politics, she would be ready for a conversation with her husband. The star revealed to The New York Times, “I think I would probably have to tackle that when and if that ever happened”. Recalling her experience with her parents, Katherine stressed the importance of communication between her and Pratt. After all, her mother had a similar interaction with her father regarding his political debut.

How Maria Shriver was against Arnold Schwarzenegger joining politics

Hailing from a family that dominated the political scene of America for a long time, Maria Shriver did not expect that life would come full circle. When Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed his desire to join politics, after having conquered the bodybuilding world and Hollywood, Shriver was not happy.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Shriver revealed her fear of politics and how she spent her life running away from it. And while campaigning was a huge process, the constant presence of people got to her. “Either you lose or you get assassinated,” she sadly stated. Yet, she supported Arnold in his ventures.
