At the age of 23, the muscle man became the youngest Mr.Olympia, given his hard work and dedication. His interest in politics also took over him and made him the 38th governor of California.

Back in 2011, Arnold shared his view regarding his job as the governor and how it affected his family. And, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses.
When Arnold Schwarzenegger became governor
Arnold served as California’s governor for almost 8 years, starting from 2003 to 2011. Bearing responsibilities is one thing that Arnold has expertise in, but that doesn’t mean it’s effortless and easy.
His position played an important role in California’s development and internal matters. That came with too many responsibilities alongside sacrifices.
Arnold once shared tit-bits about his life as a governor soon after his retirement. There were times when the workload would lead to a breakdown of the whole family. During the initial days, the former bodybuilder would leave home every Monday and come back from the capital Sacramento at the end of the week.
“What was much worse was the damage my time as governor did to the family,” said Arnold Schwarzenegger. “There is a lot there that needs to be repaired. We hate your job. It was heartbreaking every time. In my second term of office, I did better. I tried to fly home every evening.“

Nevertheless, things got quite better with time as he tried to come home every evening via flight. Arnold Schwarzenegger has left behind his footsteps in almost every possible domain.

“In all it is probably more than $200 million,” said the G.O.A.T of bodybuilding. “But I’m not sorry. It was more than worth it.”
