Arnold Schwarzenegger presently lives in a lavish 4,100sq ft mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. Surrounded by spacious yards, a pool, etc, his home is more like a paradise on earth for every pet and nature lover. Though his children are all grown up and moved out of the former Shriver-Schwarzenegger estate, Arnie doesn’t live there alone. He has the company of his girlfriend, Heather Milligan, and their little family of pets, which seem to be growing day by day.

Schwarzenegger’s estate being home to a handful of dogs, a miniature horse named Whiskey, and a donkey named Lulu is no secret. But with the latest addition of an adorable pig, his pet family is only growing. In a recent interview, Schwarzenegger gushed about this newest member and revealed a hilarious story behind its name, Schnelly.

The story behind the name Schnelly

Recently, during his appearance on “The Issue Is: with Elex Michaelson,” Arnie could not resist but gushed over his little pet. Revealing his pet’s name, Schwarzenegger said, “I just got a new pig…called Schnelly. The word ‘Schnell,’ it’s fast in German.”

Sharing the story behind 47-year-old Milligan naming the pet, he added, “Because when we brought her home, she ran out of the house, she ran all over the property and we couldn’t catch her. We couldn’t catch him…it’s a he. So I said it’s so Schnell so my girlfriend said why don’t we call it Schnelly? And I said it’s a great idea so now we call him Schnelly.”

However, the former Governor later added that Schnelly doesn’t run around that much anymore. But he is a “great” addition to the family. With Schnelly having adapted well with the other pets in the family, Schwarzenegger is having fun feeding all the different species and observing their dynamics. The 75-year-old also took to his social media to officially introduce his newest family member to his fans.

A few hours ago, Schwarzenegger took to his Instagram to share a photo with two of his pets. Seated comfortably on his lap, posing for the camera were his two little ones. While on his right side was his beloved dog Cherry, on his left side was a new figure. It was none other than the latest member, Schnelly.

Excited to share the news with his followers, Arnie wrote in the caption, “The family is growing. Meet Schnelly 🐷.” In less than 10 hours, the adorable photo has received more than 200,000 likes. Many, including the skiing champion Lindsey Vonn, were left in awe of the photo.
