Ferrigno on the growth of the bodybuilding

Over the years, bodybuilding has developed a lot as a sport. When asked about the difference in the sport during his time and now, the star pointed out the loss of symmetry. He pointed out the key difference in the structure of the distinct divisions. Lou shared that instead of focusing on symmetry, the entire focus now is on how thick one could be or how many packs are on their frame. He cites this as the reason for the classics’ unpopularity at present.

The bodybuilder also spoke about the hardships related to bodybuilding. He said that people don’t love bodybuilding and expect a freak show from the builders. Ferrigno said, “Don’t get me wrong, I love bodybuilding, but I just think that you know it’s kinda hard because the general public don’t love it. He further added, “… Some think bodybuilding is a freak’s show because people want to see freaks. You want to see the biggest and the baddest and bet that’s what bodybuilding is and then we bust our a** to look like this it doesn’t come out of a bottle, it’s genetics and hard work and everything.”
