Nodding for a yes, the ex-California Governor quickly confirmed, “Yes, it’ll be a female Terminator.” As Leno shows his interest in knowing more details about the role, Arnie plays it smart and keeps the mystery in place. The father of five indulged in a fun guessing name. Naming some of the famous politicians, The Austrian Oak, with his hilarious take, manages to tickle the funny bone.

Adding more, he commented, “I think that, for instance, the secretary of state of Florida, Katherine Harris, will be a good one.” Leaving Leno pretty surprised, Schwarzenegger did not just stop there. “I think Hillary Clinton will be a good Terminator,” he remarked. Though much to fans’ dismay, neither Harris nor Clinton played any part. But seeing Schwarzenegger make such a fun guess was entertaining for the audience.

Surprising as it may sound, Schwarzenegger was never on Cameron’s card for Terminator. As a matter of fact, Cameron was reluctant even to meet Arnie for the role. It was only after persuasion from the studios that he decided to meet Schwarzenegger for lunch. For those unversed, Arnold was eager to play the part of warrior hero Kyle Reese.

An idea that seemed absurd to Cameron. On meeting Arnie, James had a change of heart, and he immediately knew Schwarzenegger would be the perfect choice to play the part of Cyberdyne Systems Model 101. The rest remains history. Post-release Terminator did not just emerge as one of the highest-grossing films of all time but remains a cult classic to date.
