Being a strongman involves performing some of the most intensive tricks that show off one’s strength and might. For Strongman legend Hafthor Bjornsson, nothing seems impossible – he’s called The Mountain after all. However, all it took was a petite gymnast to show that even the world’s strongest man can fail at performing some of the most basic tricks.

British gymnast Nile Wilson decided it would be fun to challenge the strongman to some basic gymnastic tricks. These included a front roll, a twirl in the air, and many more tricks. To accompany the duo, bodybuilder @MattDoesFitness also performed alongside them as a challenge. Did The Mountain stand up to this storm? Let’s find out!

After testing Bjornsson’s strength and punching powers, Nile Wilson wanted to venture into his territory. He challenged the strongman and bodybuilder Matt to do some basic tricks that gymnasts perform as a part of their routine. The difference lay in the three men’s physiques and weights. In fact, Bjornsson towered at a height of 6’9, weighing about 368 lbs.

Thus began a compilation of falls, thuds, and stumbles. While Wilson was able to perform all the tricks gracefully, the others struggled. The challenge began with a full twist – essentially a twirl mid-air. Matt barely managed and got his feet on the ground. Whereas Bjornsson failed horribly, tumbling and falling backward.

The saga continued. A forward roll, a fancy push-up, and a handstand later, the three athletes stood at the same results. Matt barely managed to perform all of the tricks while Bjornsson failed at his attempts. In the end, when Wilson attempted a sweet backflip in the air, The Mountain clearly stated that he didn’t want to die doing that trick. But jest and all aside, the trio seemed to have fun performing these tricks. The strongman had a clear disadvantage due to his height and weight, but he challenged himself, nevertheless.

The Mountain’s size has often been a hindrance

Standing at about 6’9, it’s no secret that Hafthor Bjornsson’s height has often been the talk of the town. Since the strongman legend’s height is a bit more than the average person, it often gets difficult for him to either fit in or travel in accommodations meant for average-sized people.

Fortunately, not only Bjornsson is aware of his size, but he also makes jokes at his expense. He once uploaded an Instagram story where he stood in front of a mirror. Hilariously, the strongman’s reflection didn’t fit, and he teased how tall people did not make mirrors for tall people. He has a fun outlook on his life, and that has inspired fans to not only get stronger physically but also mentally.
