Besides being a bodybuilding legend with seven Mr. Olympia titles, a Hollywood icon, and the former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger is a philanthropist. From climate change to green energy to Alzheimer’s, Schwarzenegger supports numerous causes. However, the former Mr. Olympia does much more than donate money to various charities and causes. He also aims to inspire positive change in people by speaking about pressing issues.

A few months ago, the ‘Governator’ informed his newsletter subscribers about his visit to Auschwitz. He also wrote about his experience in his newsletter. Earlier today, Schwarzenegger posted a YouTube video about what he saw at Auschwitz and shared an important message.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recounted his experience of walking through the place where “1.1 million men, women, and children lost their lives.” In this blood-curdling message, Arnie said, “When you walk through a place like Auschwitz you feel a tremendous weight. There are reminders everywhere of the horrors that happened there.”

The actor remembered seeing the numerous unclaimed suitcases and countless shoes that belonged to the people brought to the concentration camp. He spoke about seeing the log books with thousands of names crossed out, the gas chambers where the walls still have the nail marks of people trying to claw their way out.

Schwarzenegger also said he had seen enough people who threw away their future for hateful goals. He addressed those who might have considered going down the wrong path and said that hate never leads to success. “It’s the path of the weak, and that’s year there has never been a successful movement based on hate,” said Arnold Schwarzenegger in his message.
