According to him, there are several shrug variations for traps, including – barbell, dumbbell, and behind-the-back upright rows. Dumbbells worked out best for him. He stated in the video, “ I’ve always stuck to dumbbells for my traps, and this focusing unilaterally.”

Cutler explained that while performing with dumbbells, one must concentrate on the straight up and down movements. People may face strength discrepancies, but to really contract, they must keep performing the movement.

Furthermore, he revealed that his focus was on high repetition ranges with a maximum of eight reps. He stated in the video, “I do anywhere between 8 to 12 reparations usually around 12, really doing about at least three or four sets per exercise.”

At last, he ended his video by suggesting,“ You want to build big traps? You want to have no neck? Stick to your dumbbell shrugs.” Moreover, the much-awaited secret to Cutler’s traps has made his video go viral.
