Louis Ferrigno, famously known as Lou Ferrigno, is a retired professional American bodybuilder. He has won an IFBB Mr. America title and is a two-time recipient of the IFBB Mr. Universe title.

Ferrigno is a bodybuilder-turned-actor and is famous for his role as The Hulk. The legendary bodybuilder with his 22.5″ biceps once shared posing next to Marvel producer Stan Lee and writing an emotional message for the latter.

In 1977, Ferrigno played the role of Hulk in The Incredible Hulk TV series and movies. The bodybuilder became widely well-known for his role as the “green superhero.”
Marvel producer and comic writer Stan Lee were one of the few with whom Ferrigno worked closely. On 12 November 2018, Lee passed away due to cardiac arrest. In 2021, visiting back to his days with Lee, Ferrigno shared a photo of him flexing his 22.5″ with the late producer.
In the Facebook post, Ferrigno wrote, “Miss this guy Stan Lee. He was the BEST + best cameo partner ever.” Lee was not just famous for his behind-the-scenes work, but also for unique cameos in Marvel movies. His sudden demise left his fans and his superhero actors in great sorrow.

Although Ferrigno was one of the many Hulks in the movie franchise, he is still considered one of the “best Hulks” by many fans. Ferrigno was the voice of Hulk until the 2015 Avengers Age of Ultron movie. He was then replaced by Mark Ruffalo as the new voice of Hulk.

Ferrigno made his acting debut in 1977, with The Incredible Hulk. During the same year, Ferrigno also released his documentary – Pumping Iron, which also did well among the audience.
In 1983, Ferrigno featured in the science fantasy adventure film – Hercules, where he played the protagonist’s role. For this role, the Decider website named Ferrigno the “hottest on-screen Hercules ever.”
