Meanwhile, weightlifting increases your metabolism, strengthens your muscles and endurance, and lowers your disease risk. But lifting heavy weights is not a game for kids. For example, the legendary bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman is known to be the master of heavyweights. 

When he was 27 and competing in the 242 class, his best official deadlift was 725 pounds. Following they’re were other masters bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno.

God gifted Ronnie Coleman

Once Joe Rogan had a podcast interview with Ronnie Coleman, who has won eight Mr.Olympia titles. The host found Coleman’s accomplishments intriguing and became astonished hearing his remarkable bodybuilding career. Between the queries, Joe questioned him regarding his weightlifting powers. 

Joe asked, “Powerlifting and lifting heavy is always a very controversial thing amongst bodybuilders, right? Because some bodybuilders never lifted as heavy as you did.” Ronnie replied“You know I lifted heavy weights because that’s what I liked to do. And that’s what I was able to do. In a way, I was kind of gifted to be strong like that, you know. And someday, I was worse. I was benching about 350.”

Ronnie also added, “Even when I was in high school, I was benching about 350. Almost 4, and I was squatting five over 5 in high school.” Even in his documentary ‘Ronnie Coleman: The King,’ he showcased his gym, where he used to do workouts all the time while working as a police officer.

Before Ronnie, Lee Haney and Dorian Yates were considered the god of heavy weightlifting. Lee had a reasonably conventional training regimen despite his intense and intensive training. On the other hand, Dorian employed a very labor-intensive, which included a heavy-duty strategy that resulted in several forced negatives and injuries. 

In this regard, Ronnie has slightly altered the rules for weightlifting. He was renowned for performing more repetitions in a set while using weighty weights.
