Known for his massive stature and meticulous persona, the legend has dominated the reverent stage of Mr. Olympia for six years. Nonetheless, during his prime, while he enjoyed building deltoids and achieving muscular prowess, he was not a big fan of posing his aesthetic physique on the podium. However, the 60-year-old recently shared an old picture from his heydays, where he can be seen posing in front of the lens. Though he shared his least favorite bodybuilding activity with his fans, the picture took all the social media brownie points.
Recently, the 60-year-old posted a throwback picture of himself through his Instagram handle. In the picture, Yates can be seen flaunting his stature in the lat spread pose. Following this, the 6x Mr. Olympia champion’s fandom brimmed the comment section with their heartfelt praises and applause for the bodybuilder.

In his latest Instagram post, Yates pulled off the curtains from the BTS picture of his pose training days. Along with the black-and-white picture, Yates penned a heartwarming caption. He penned, “Probably my least favourite part of contest prep was practising my posing”. He further added, “Here’s a shot where I was going through my posing routine in my garage. There’s a lot more to bodybuilding posing than just simply flexing muscles. It is a work of art and something that goes under the radar is the breathing part of posing… conditioning is a must!”.

More so, explaining his training regimen in the caption, Yates further wrote, “Practising my posing routine was absolutely essential for onstage endurance and to present your physique to its maximum potential…45 minutes, 3 times per week, holding compulsory poses and squeezing for around 15 seconds. As well as long periods in the front relaxed pose so that I could maintain throughout the long pre-judging”.

Following this, fans hailed the bodybuilder for his prim and proper posing drill.
