From a humble beginning in Austria to becoming a multi-millionaire celebrity, 75-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger has seen almost three generations in his lifetime. Hence, the conflicting opinion with his mother, Aurelia, on marriage and childbirth is somewhat self-explanatory. Although she warned him that his actions could destroy his marriage, it didn’t stop him from doing them.

Eventually, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s marriage with Maria Shriver did fall apart. However, there is no valid argument for whether or not it was a consequence of his action during his first childbirth.
What did Arnold Schwarzenegger do during his first childbirth?
The modern world is often seen as conflicting with the old philosophies and beliefs. Therefore, when Arnold was there with his wife Maria Shriver during their first childbirth, his mother thought of it as blasphemy. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the bodybuilding legend revealed, “In old days my mother just thought it was totally insane to be a part of this. She said I would have never let your father in there. I would have been embarrassed. This is crazy. This destroys marriages.”
However, for Arnold, it was an experience of a lifetime. Witnessing the birth of his first child made him the happiest person on the planet. Narrating his experience, he further said, “She had their own little philosophy about this whole thing but to me that was a very powerful experience and I think it really was an additional thing that made me love my wife even more. Having children is great it’s absolutely fantastic.”
Arnold remembers his mother before turning 75
Although he has some unhappy memories of his father, Arnold’s mother was his biggest supporter. She is the reason he doesn’t proclaim himself a self-made man, as she has played a major role in his unparalleled success. Hence, just a day before his 75th birthday, the bodybuilding legend remembered his mother with a heartfelt tribute on Twitter.
