On Tuesday, April 25, POTUS Joe Biden formally announced his 2024 re-election campaign. Currently serving his first term as President, Biden spent the first two years of his presidency tackling the Corona Virus situation. Biden also published a three-minute announcement video on social media. The eldest son of former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger, shared Joe Biden’s announcement video on Twitter.

“Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That’s why I’m running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job.” the President wrote in the caption of his campaign video. However, the 29-year-old retweeted the video with a caption of his own, containing his unfiltered opinion.

Partick Schwarzenegger didn’t beat around the bush

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shariver’s first son, and third child, Patrick Schwarzenegger, grew up in a house with two different political ideologies. While his mother belongs to one of the most influential democratic political families in the nation, the Kennedys, his father earned his place in the GOP, becoming the Republican Governor of California in 2003.

The 29-year-old actor, who often shares his opinions on Twitter, shared President Biden’s campaign announcement video with the caption, “Respect the guy but cmon. This can’t happen.” The video showcases clips and photographs of some of the key moments since Joe Biden took office. “Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. There’s nothing more important. Nothing more sacred,” Biden said in the video.

Vice President Kamala Harris also features in the video in many of the clips. On Tuesday, after the announcement, while speaking at Howard University in Washington, Harris showed her support for Biden’s reelection. However, like Patrick Schwarzenegger, even all democrats might not be ready to support the re-election yet. A recent poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows around 47% of Democrats are ready to support the current President’s re-election.

In fact, soon after sharing his unfiltered opinion, Patrick Schwarzenegger shared another tweet by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

In his tweet, Kennedy Jr. had a lot to say about President Biden’s announcement. “I have known and liked Joe Biden for many years, but we differ profoundly on fundamental issues such as corporate influence in government, censorship, civil liberties, poverty, corruption, and war policy, among others,” wrote Kennedy Jr. “I look forward to engaging him in debates and town hall meetings, in a primary election that is honest, civil, and transparent.” He also invited Biden, “into a new era of respectful dialog in these times of division.”

However, it’s also worth noting that the 29-year-old has nothing personal against Biden. “I’m not sh***ing on Biden as (a) person… just think he’s too old and they’re are other people that are better to run the country. Nothing against him/views,” wrote the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger while responding to another user in his original tweet.
