After coming 3rd in Mr. Olympia 2022 hopes were high for Nick Walker to claim the throne of the Arnold Classic this year. Previously, in 2021, The Mutant won the coveted trophy of Arnold, but to his disappointment, Samson Dauda surpassed him and won the competition this year. But that defeat definitely couldn’t curb his unmatched spirit.
On April 7, 2023, Walker took to his Instagram to let the world know about his sheer dedication. In his latest pictures, The Mutant looked more chiseled while flexing his arms. And evidently, he is not letting any stone unturned and is doing everything to claim the 1st place in the upcoming bodybuilding events.

In 2021, Walker became the 19th Arnold Classic champion. In fact, he projected prominence while being a neophyte, and it stunned the bodybuilding community. The sport got a new champ that year. Surprisingly The Mutant edged out popular names like Iain Vallier, Akim Williams, Sergio Oliva Jr., and others.
This year too for Arnold, Nick prepared to stand out, but things didn’t go well, and he ended up as a runner-up. The recent results have generated a strong resilience in him, and in response, he is getting ready to claim the throne again. Recently, The Mutant posted pictures on his Instagram where he looked insane, and while updating his progress, Walker wrote, “A couple more shots from push day yesterday. Pumps are getting serious now…”

Evidently, he is ready to give what it takes to be a winner. Moreover, highlighting his desperation, the IFBB pro added, “They want the freak factor, ill give em the freak factor” in the caption. No doubt, he looked like he is pushing every barrier to achieve the coveted trophy next year. It seems like, the bodybuilder is channeling this year’s defeat in Arnold Classic into an impending triumph.
Walker’s disappointing outcome in the Arnold Classic
With the advent of this year’s Arnold Classic, every eye was on Walker as he was the presumptive winner. After the pre-judging was over, Walker, Andrew Jacked, Samson Dauda, and Big Ramy were invited onto the stage for final call-outs. Notably, The Mutant anticipated that only Jacked was worthy of beating him.

However, during the announcement, Andrew Jacked and Big Ramy were confirmed as the 2nd and 3rd runner-ups. With much surprise, Walker and Dauda were standing for the final verdict. At this point, Walker thought his win was a sure thing until the judges took the name of Dauda as the 2023 Arnold Classic Winner. The result brought disappointment for Walker, but it seems like he is ready for a comeback next year.
