Bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno is considered to be a legendary athlete in the United States. Widely known as Lou “The Hulk” Ferrigno, he has won two consecutive IFFB Mr. Universe titles and an IFFB Mr. America title. The legendary bodybuilder is also a famous Hollywood actor and is widely known for his role as the superhero Hulk in the CBS TV series – The Incredible Hulk.

Early in his career, Ferrigno had also trained with bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, even after retiring from bodybuilding, Ferrigno is as fit and toned as he was before. The legendary bodybuilder shared his three mantras to stay fit like him back in March.
How does Lou Ferrigno so fit at 71?
Post-retirement, many bodybuilders continue with their training and regular workout. Even the 71-year-old Ferrigno never skips his training regime. Earlier this year, while doing a Facebook Live with his followers, Ferrigno revealed his top secrets to staying ripped even at his age.
While discussing this topic, Ferrigno emphasized the phrase “Health is Wealth.” According to the green superhero, taking care of one’s body is equally important as training in the gym. “Be consistent. There are three things, eat good, sleep good, and train good, and remember one thing, health is your greatest wealth,” advised the great bodybuilder.
Ferrigno also mentioned how sane mental health is as important as good physical health to keep the body fit. Elaborating on this, Ferrigno said, “The determination to do what you have to do to be very successful and go after your goals. That’s what most people lack today. you got to believe in yourself.”
The legendary bodybuilder is an inspiration to many athletes on and off the field. He also trains the upcoming bodybuilding generation and shares his experiences with them.
Lou Ferrigno’s glorious bodybuilding career

In 1969, Ferrigno won the IFFB Mr. America title, which was his first professional bodybuilding win. Four years later, he won the IFFB Mr. Universe crown. Then, Ferrigno started training with Schwarzenegger and tried to defeat the greatest bodybuilder at Mr. Olympia in 1975.
However, he failed to do so and thus it became the subject of his “Pumping Iron” documentary, through which Ferrigno gained fame. Following many defeats, for several years Ferrigno did not compete in any bodybuilding competitions.
