In 1989, former First Lady of California, Maria Shriver appeared on the David Letterman Show. Talking about her school days, she adorably demonstrated how she prayed to God, asking for one particular thing. Going to an all-girls school, Shriver feared she would grow up to become a nun one day. She said, “I spent a lot of my high school and junior high school praying that I would not become a nun. That was real. I was really terrified for a long time that I would be a nun.”

Maria Shriver’s uncle was the former President of the United States, John F Kennedy. They were treated as American royalties, and so were their close relatives. However, Shriver claims to have had a very normal childhood. Talking about her brothers, Shriver revealed that she got beaten up a lot.

“I don’t know, kind of normal kid. I have four brothers, so I got beaten up a lot. I’m the kind of, all of them are much taller than me and they are the kind that you know sit on your chest and do pink belly and titty twisters,” Maria Shriver told David Letterman.
