During an interview with Men’s Health, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) once revealed to his audience how the character won people’s hearts despite having no humanity.

Schwarzenegger is a retired IFBB professional bodybuilder. Originally from Thal, Austria, it was really hard for him to get through Hollywood. But he did manage to slide onto the big screen, becoming a famous actor.

Not only is he a famous bodybuilder and actor, but he has also been a successful entrepreneur.

The Terminator explained by Arnold Schwarzenegger

The sci-fi/action movie The Terminator was released back in 1984 and was directed by James Cameron. Arnold Schwarzenegger played the role of Terminator, which really did suit him.

“People really admired the character, because he was able to do things they all wanted to do,” Schwarzenegger said. He talks about how the Terminator was able to do things that were mostly impossible for a human being.

As per a sci-fi movie, it makes sense. Driving into the fantasy world of the audience was the key, as per Schwarzenegger. 

“We had a test screening. We showed it to 50 cops,” Schwarzenegger said and continued, “They all applauded when I wiped out the police station—because it was not a human being doing it, it was the machine doing it.” 

Not only blowing up a police station but also getting appreciated for it by the cops themselves is a wonder only Schwarzenegger could do. He really did capture the fantasies of people.

The Terminator was really popular at the box office, and making 78.5 million during those times was really a big deal. Not only the Terminator franchise but also there are a lot of movies Schwarzenegger worked in where he performed well.

Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t get it all easily. He poured in the hard work when he landed on American soil. While people said he wouldn’t make it in Hollywood, Schwarzenegger was ready to prove them all wrong.
