‘Sultan of Symmetry’ Flex Wheeler Gave 266 Lbs Bodybuilding Beast the Ultimate Compliment

Since the golden days of bodybuilding, some champions have etched their names into history and remain undefeated. Flex Wheeler was one of them. The Sultan of Symmetry crossed huge hurdles throughout his bodybuilding journey in the form of major health scares and an amputation. While he still holds the crown for one of the best physiques, has he passed on the torch to someone else?

Mr. Olympia 2022 saw some of the toughest contenders across various countries. One of them who stood out both to fans and Wheeler was Andrew Jacked. Recently, while Jacked looked back at the happenings of the contest, he earned a comment from Wheeler himself.

Flex Wheeler on Andrew Jacked’s symmetry

Andrew Jacked was one of the many worthy contenders for the recent Mr. Olympia title. While he got to the top 10, many fans felt he should have made it to the top three. Nevertheless, he recently posted some pictures from the contest, showing off his personal best physique in a wide variety of poses. Fans, however, couldn’t help but compare him to the legendary bodybuilder Flex Wheeler.

His body had an uncanny resemblance to that of Flex Wheeler. However, Jacked respectfully maintained that there could be only one Sultan of Symmetry, and Wheeler would always bear that title. Amidst fan comparisons and Jacked’s humble revelation, Flex Wheeler surprised everyone by expressing his admiration for the young star.

The former bodybuilder didn’t hold back his compliments while agreeing to Jacked’s comment. He wrote, “Agreed FACT , There will never be another @andrewjacked You have it all: height, balance symmetry, and muscularity . To be a future multi winning @mrolympiallc“. Evidently, the veteran held a lot of hope for the debutante while also hinting at a possible successor.

Flex to receive the highest honor

Flex Wheeler faced a lot of tough hurdles throughout his life. His bodybuilding career came to an abrupt end after the diagnosis of a rare kidney disease. After the amputation of his leg, life seemed bleak to the veteran. However, he kept his spirits up and maintained his physique even after he struck tragedy.

Recently, the Arnold Sports Festival announced Flex Wheeler as the recipient of the 2023 Lifetime Achievement award. The award was long overdue according to fans, who cheered for the veteran upon the news. The festival begins in March, and the veteran shall be honored then.
