Regarded by Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of the best, the uncrowned Prince of the sport knows the game inside out. His career may have been cut short because of medical factors, but his craze for bodybuilding remains undying. In a recent Instagram post, Flex talks about the importance of ‘squat.’ Speaking about the relevance of the exercise, the retired bodybuilding legend had a lot of insights to share.

Flex Wheeler imparts his words of wisdom 

In a recently shared video clip, the Arnold Classic winner talks about ‘Squatting.’ Referring to it as one of “the oldest and most primal basic movement,” the IFBB champion spoke about its relevance. Emphasizing its importance, Flex adds that squatting should be the “foundation of every workout program.” Barring a few expectations, he adds that in bodybuilding, there is “no better total body movement.”

Flex also talks about the variations of the squat. Being a professional in the field, the bodybuilding champion revealed how one wouldn’t be able to do proper squats with and without the weight if their foundation is shaky.

Wheeler may not have registered any significant wins, but the legacy that he has left behind remains unmatched. Never the stage has seen a bodybuilder who has suffered so many injuries in his career. Having undergone 40+ surgeries, the legend yet again had to undergo another surgery to repair his left rotator cuff.

Last week Flex took to his Instagram to announce that he will be undergoing surgery. Friends, industry colleagues, and fans soon joined to extend their wishes for the legend. As the surgery was a success, Flex took to his Instagram story to reveal, “Post-surgery pain is a lot more bearable this time around.”

Flex saw many setbacks in terms of medical emergencies throughout his career. As he braved through his medical emergency again, he could not help but comment, “But I’d be lying if I didn’t say this is all very depressing. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.”Needless to say, the Wheeler fans are happy to see their favorite recovering.
