Strongman Hafthor Bjornsson has been collaborating with some of the best athletes in the world since he decided to get leaner. A massive name in the social world, Thor, in a recent duet with Jiu-Jitsu star Gordon King Ryan, got “humbled.” As The Mountain faced the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champ, he realized this time, securing a win was not easy. Icelandic World’s Strongest man, Hafthor, met quite a tough time on the mat as he engaged in a duet with BJJ black belt and ADCC champion Gordon Ryan.

In a recent Instagram video posted, the HBO series Game of Thrones actor Bjornsson gave a sneak peek into his tough duet with Ryan. Expressing his honest reaction, the strongman had a lot to say.
Hafthor Bjornsson finds a formidable competitor in Ryan
Ahead of his first appearance at the UFC on Fight Pass, “King” Rayn seemed to have the perfect practice. Rolling with strongman Thor Bjornsson and Martins Licis, Ryan had a good warm-up. As the giants gave each other tough competition on the mat, Bjornsson took to his Instagram to share his honest thoughts from the night. Expressing himself, he wrote, “Literally went against the best and got humbled quite badly.”

As Ryan was busy with his last-workout session ahead of the next day’s event, the strongman could not be more than happy. “I love trying out new sport and what a pleasure it was,” added Bjornsson. Getting a test of what Ryan has got in store, Hafthor was quick to add, “Excited to watch Gordon crush his opponent tomorrow! This guy is next level! 🔥”
For those unversed, Ryan is an American submission grappler and is considered one of the greatest no-gi grapplers of all time. He is a five-time ADCC World Champion, four-time Eddie Bravo Invitational champion, and two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion.

As Hafthor took to his Instagram to share their duet video, the ADCC World champion quickly expressed his desire for more such encounters in the comments section. Expressing himself, Gordon wrote, “This was such a blast. Can’t wait to attempt to lift your warm-up weight one day 😂.” Thus, the Game of Thrones star will get more opportunities to face Gordon.
