Women are excelling in every sport, including bodybuilding, powerlifting, and even as fitness influencers. However, recently online fitness trainer Kirra O’Brien shared a fan’s question regarding feminity and strength, which many female athletes in physique sports would relate to.

While O’Brien had a beautiful answer to the ‘ask’, she also credited internet-famous athlete Dr. Stefi Cohen for wording her thoughts on the same. Later, Dr. Cohen also reshared Obrien’s message, hoping to reach a wider audience. Here is what the two female fitness enthusiasts’ story was all about.

Strength has no gender

Kirra O’Brien, well-known for her beginner-friendly strength workouts, recently asked her fans to send her questions regarding fitness or health, via her Instagram stories. One anonymous fan asked Obrien to advise her on “feeling more feminine”, as she was a powerlifter, which is said to be a male-dominated sport.

While writing on the topic, Obrien also mentioned Dr. Stefi Cohen, a pro boxer and 25x World Record Powerlifter. Cohen is also known for her encouraging words and is an inspiration to several women in a similar field. Hence, Obrien concluded, “I love everything @steficohen shares on this topic🫶🏽”

Further, the social media influencer wisely replied, “I love this question and I dont think I have all the answers but what I remind myself is strength is beautiful. Femininity and physical/mental strength can co-exist.”

According to her, stronger people are feared by all, and strength knows no gender. “Physical and mental strength doesn’t just mean masculine. Both men and women go through insane challenges and battles in life. Strength doesn’t choose a side in my opinion,” she stated.
